Wow that must hurt, bad move on his part. Maintaining line domination on that yard is going to be pretty easy this year.

Yeah it was pretty funny when it happened. But I feel bad for him now. He's catching tons of flack from the neighbors and friends that drive by. Plus he has a huge party in about 3 weeks. We are hammering it with nitrogen to try and get it in the best shape we can for his party.

Itโ€™s like your neighbor doesnโ€™t even care.

He doesn't. Claims he going to start caring this year. Good thing is he lets me do whatever I want to his side. I've just been letting it go or a bit so I can shame him. If the winds are low tomorrow I'm going to make his side glow in the dark.

I hit my right side neighbor's stuff too. He's about down to dirt and weeds up front this year.

What ever the weeds I got going on have blown up with the recent rains
Swear some of these things are 12โ€ diameter plants

What's your application methods. Spot, backpack, hose end?

I tried Image hose end and thought I had killed the yard but the Bermuda and oxalis came back strong. Tried spot and the Oxalis turns brown but doesnโ€™t die out. The Bermuda is very healthy but so is the weed.

Lol. You haven't lived DIY turf until you've almost killed the lawn, specifically Bermuda. What image product did you use, not all are the same.

I dont have the bottle. Used it all but I had originally got it to kill some Dallis grass and that worked great. St. Augustine is doing great, just the Bermuda.......

What do you recommend for poa annua? Back yard is almost overrun. Do I just have to wait it out and let the preemergent do its thing for next year, or is there something I can do now? I am already catching clippings hoping to suck up as many seeds as possible.

Lawn is bermuda, but I will likely put some zoysia in the north side shady spots

St Aug is looking great. So let me get this straight as you added St Aug to the mix. You're running Bermuda in the front and St Aug in the back? Party/Business deal?

Poa is tough. Specially at the DIY level. Get a backpack sprayer and lets talk. Plenty of post options. But your best option is Prodiamine and Simazine pre emergent app(s). That said. I try and keep it under wraps what I apply/spray. Not that it's proprietary, I'm just concerned from the misuse of willie nellie spraying. Wrong product, app rate, temps and things go bad. I get daily text or screen shots is Tenacity safe for Bermuda. WTF. Read the GD Label.

Coff and presley. Celsius is you friend

Just the way the builder delivered the house 20+ years ago. LOL. I should just get rid of the Bermuda and put in more Raliegh. Not much of the small front yard has Bermuda. The biggest part is St. Augustine. So you think spot killing and pre emergent is best to try and get rid of the Oxalis? I never use pre before.

Presley PM me your address. If you can spot spray the Oxalis I will send you some Celsius WG to spot spray with. I will measure the exact amount you need. All you need to buy is a non ionic surfactant. Mix what I send in a one gallon pump sprayer. Shake it up really well to mix. Then add the surfactant 2 teaspoons and shake it well again. Then you're ready to go. And the weeds don't need a 5 second hose down soak. Just a 1/2 second light mist will do. So a gallon mix will go a long way. It's safe to use on St Aug and Bermuda.

A second spot spray application might be needed 2-4 weeks later. But it should do the trick.

And I highly recommend you get on and stay on a pre emergent program.

I've got a 1 gallon and a 2 gallon pump sprayer with adjustable nozzles. Is a backpack sprayer really necessary?

You could. I would check your model and see if it accepts TeeJet Tips. If not you should be able to get a universal wand for cheap that will. Get a TeeJet TT11004-VP. That way you have a good fan pattern and consistent droplet size. Mark off 1000sq ft. Fill your sprayer with a gallon of water. Keep the wand about 18-20" above the ground start walking and spraying, keep your wand straight and not spraying back and fourth. If you feel you're getting good constant pressure and applying the water consistently/evenly. At the end of the 1000sq feet you should almost be empty. Do that a couple times to verify your results. If you're getting the same results on your trial runs and feel good about it. Go with it.

I like my backpack because I spray about 4k sq feet and it holds 4gals. So I can make one big mix and spray and I'm done. That 4 gallons is pretty heavy at the start though. Sometimes I split it up into 2k/2k.
