After owning a lot of both I have never had a kettle grill . I got a cheaper one at Lowes for around 58 bucks and really liked it . A 22 inch Mr BBQ . I got is for the house . After joining a Weber Facebook page I convinced myself to get a Weber Performer for our lake house pit . So many thing one can do on a kettle Vs. other charcoal grills . Plus Wber has a ton of accessories you can buy . I still love my old Coleman 5600 propane grill with the deep fryer on one end . [Linked Image]

I’ve used gas grills in the past. My current cooker is a Weber kettle and I love cooking on it. Very versatile. My camping bbq cooker is an Old Smokey. I’m all in with charcoal and will not go back to gas.

Weber Kettles are the Leatherman tools of the Q world. I have a 14" that I travel with, a 22" performer and a 26" Kettle that is the bomb for cooking briskets. Have a Slow N Sear and a Vortex that I use in the 26 and 22. Haven't cooked on my offset stick burner in 3 years As far as gas , I've got a Weber Summit 670 6 burner beast that's plumbed into the house natural gas. It'll do 3 whole chickens at once with the rotisserie attachment. I am definitely a Weber fanboy!

Get a Slow N Sear for that Weber 22 inch kettle and you can cook low and slow bbq that's incredible.

Makes a Weber kettle the most versatile cooker out there.

The Weber Kettle is awesome and versatile especially if you have the slow n sear and grill grates. There's even a griddle top for it. But doesn't work great at times for larger crowds. I love my Kettle but a gas grill is nice when you've been on the water all afternoon and want to throw something on quick. Both if possible.

You get out of it what you put into it!
