I always file mine the last day allowed..

We received this last stimulus as soon as they were released then got Tax refund in 5 days soon after so I dont see a correlation although my wife and I are both on Social Security and that may help expedite the process.

I recieved a letter in the mail from the irs,wanting me to verify my identity, scared the $#%% out or me,I took the letter to H@R Block where I had my taxes done ,it took the lady 30 or more minutes to get it cleared up for me,I filed my taxes way early like February, I asked so is my identity trying to be stolen, she said no it's a routine thing,? Really never had nothing like this before..who knows??

They are still working on 2019

Had mine filed by the end of January and got refund end of March.

In some cases you are not wrong. I had to file a 1040X for 2019. Mailed it in like they said to, they got it.

That was almost a year ago and still have not heard back.

But like I said, my 2020 was filed and we got our little refund in less than two weeks.

They are waiting for me to file my return and pay my taxes. Then they will have enough to send refunds.

We got a letter also. Called and answered all the guys questions then was told refund would be sent 3 to 9 weeks later. Call it what you want but I call it an audit.

The letter was just Biden patting himself on the back. What a waste of postage.
