In the first period it flared and he swung, but missed. I think he only stuck it once- and apparently came unbuttoned. Sounds like it could’ve been a big pay day, I feel for the guy.

That bedding fish was tough on Ish, he fished it a good while at the end of the day yesterday and could not get it done today, probably worked the fish a total of 6 hours. Tough deal!

So heavy hitters is now a part of the Cup Events in some way? That must be new for this year. I'll admit I did not get to watch any of it due to work conflicts, but I had no idea that the cup events had a direct connection specifically to heavy hitters. I thought the only connection between the Cup events and the Bass Pro Tour was that the BPT placing got you into the cup events in the fall. I swear they need to publish a flow chart.[/quote]

He hooked it once but it came straight up out of the water and came off. Felt for the guy, but that is how fishing goes.

The name says it all: Heavy Hitters is the culmination of a season of the biggest fish caught on the Bass Pro Tour. To qualify for General Tire Heavy Hitters in 2021, the weight of an angler’s single largest bass from each event of the 2020 Bass Pro Tour was recorded. The 40 anglers with the heaviest big-fish totals from those five events qualified for Heavy Hitters in Raleigh, North Carolina (April 9-14).
