Fans enjoy going to events that they can relate to, fans enjoy being told that “we are happy you are here”, fans enjoy seeing their (hero/idol - I use that word loosely, I can’t think of a better word though). I’m sure many of the fans have young children that bugged their parents into taking them to see the pros. When you piss on the fans, you piss on your consumers, consumers but junk that the pros pimp. Fans absolutely do matter to the longevity of a brand.
Yeah, I get it though, Big O won’t shut up. But you guys constantly bickering with him, only strokes his ego into and he’s more inclined to troll you. Read the dudes post, roll your eyes and scroll onto something more worth of posting about.

LOL his comments didn't backfire, nice try Ummm, yeah they did, he was once again baited into a Big O post and to the person that doesn’t care either way, he looks like a [censored]. If sponsorship/advertisement doesn’t matter, then why does the entire world revolve around it???

Without them none of the league's would exist. But having a few dozen people at a weigh in doesn't matter.

Wasn't baited into anything, I'm happy to respond to his/her comments and I never said sponsorship/advertisement doesn't matter.

Give me BASS at weigh in time all day any day. One has big hyped crowd for weigh in, the other has an lackey intern off screen popping a small confetti cannon over the winner while he sits on the deck of his boat mumbling about the days fishing (LAME) ..... it's science

You all are making something out of nothing. What is wrong with a bunch of people watching a weigh in? The more people enjoying the sport of bass fishing the better! Awesome post! Side Note: I can think of a lot more worst things to worry about!

Nice weather in Orange tx with a history of good turnouts. Actually surprised it's not bigger but then again, it's fish in a bag

I'd like to officially go on record that for me, I prefer BASS but will watch MLF too. Plus I don't care enough to argue over it. It's fishing... this ain't life or death.

pretty funny thread, like a bunch of old wimmins fighting over which detergent is best for the washing machine. I could care less either way, I can watch all the live weigh ins I want at fork, watch good local sticks to pros at fork and bottom line on what I buy is what I think will work best for where I am fishing. keep it up though, this beats any fishing show I have ever watched.

Dubee, maybe I misread how Mark meant for his post to sound. I saw it as sarcasm and belittling, maybe it was supposed to be a fun poke/jab, hard to decipher writing sometimes.

That's the bad thing about reading comments instead of talking in person. Lots of time we miss how thing are supposed to come off. I think his comments probably had a little of everything you just mentioned.

I’m guessing Big O is probably one of the anglers That got screwed when MLF took over FLW and can’t get over the fact that it was just a business purchases and things like this happen all the time in business. Especially when debt is involved in the company being bought just look at what happened to the Champion Boat company when they were sold a couple times. Big O’s gets old really fast with his hate for MLF and if you think fans in person are sponsorship gold then you haven’t paid attention to what major company learned during COVID a lot more can be accomplished via video conferencing and streaming and costs way less overall.
