Mostly bremuda, but do have about a 10' area of St Augustine. And still have freaking crab grass that wont go away. Iv'e hit it with MSMA (the good stuff, not the stuff they sell now) and just about all the store bought stuff you can try.

House was built in the early 50's so i dont know the history of anything planted.

Also going to kill off 4 crepe mrytles. Ive cut them back and sprayed them but the damn things keep coming back.

How can I get rid of Oxalis, wood sorrel, in my Bermuda? The commercial stuff from Ortho says not to use on Bermuda.

What's your application methods. Spot, backpack, hose end?

I tried Image hose end and thought I had killed the yard but the Bermuda and oxalis came back strong. Tried spot and the Oxalis turns brown but doesn’t die out. The Bermuda is very healthy but so is the weed.

It's May so I wouldn't bother spending money on Pre Emergents now. I'd focus on pushing growth this year and post emergent weeds are pretty easy (except rescuegrass lol). Wait and get into pre emergent in August.

What you're most likely seeing is Rescuegrass and not Crab. I'm seeing tons of Rescue that is going to seed now and can easily be confused as Crab. Rescue will be dying off soon. Crab and Dallis are just now getting cranking. Without a soil test I would go with a balanced fertilizer. I'm willing to bet your Soil Ph is over 7. So your best Nitrogen source to go with is Ammonium Sulfate. I would go with something like 13-13-13 at a rate of 3.5lbs per 1000sq feet every month. A few brands you can look for at the Feed/Farm stores. American Plant Food Corp, Lone Star Feed. Russel Feed private labels a 15-5-10 that you can roll with. All those are Ammonium Sulfate based nitrogen ferts. Urea is a popular Nitro source and some stores might try to push it on you. Stick with Ammonium based. It's typically not that hard to find.
