That would be the one 🤦🏻‍♂️

There’s a few guides out there that just don’t have respect.

I was on a school of active whitebass and had a guide with a pontoon come trolling directly over them..
And yelled at me because we were sitting there in “his way”. Lol

Ohhh I love Somerville!

R2Fishing, hate to break it to you, but it's like that on any lake you go to. I do everything in power to stay away from a guide boat when they have clients on board. In fact I have coughed up some good intel when the bite has been tuff so they could go put their clients on a good bite, but that's in black bass fishing.

We hit some areas I know that have been holding just HUGE crappie for Somerville. She caught 19 that went over 1.70lbs each. Minnows in 12FOW.

Call, text, PM and let’s set up a trip!

As a newbie at crappie fishing, when it is reported that fish were caught in 12FOW, does that mean the fish were suspended at that depth well above the bottom, or were the fish at that depth on the bottom.

I've almost always caught crappie at or very near the bottom so I'm assuming 12FOW means he was catching the fish on brush piles in water that's 12 foot deep.

Thanks. It's little details like this which "experienced" fishermen assumes everyone knows, but is not necessarily the case.

Hey brother!

The brush was in 12FOW and we were fishing just above it at 10ft.
You have to remember a crappie feeds up - not down. That will help you put more in the livewell.

**With Good Friday and Easter this weekend; I will be cutting price down on Crappie and Whitebass trips.
Fri-Sun we will be doing trips starting at first light to 1pm for Crappie and 4pm-dark thirty for whitebass at $200.
We provide everything you need or bring your own. **
$200 1-3guys/gals

Crappie are starting to move shallow and the bite has been near excellent!

Went out with Richard today (4/3/21). Weather didn't cooperate and made fishing tough but still had a good time. Richard is an awesome and friendly guide!

That's because there was no white bass run on the Yegua. The shad spawn is getting ready to start in the next couple of weeks so I'll be beating the banks.

I went to Birch early this morning. There were already 15 people on the dock catching crappie. There were poles lined up around the point and they were catching white bass. No shad around.

I left and went to Welch Park. There were poles lined up around the normal places but nobody was catching. There were some boats out on the buoys and they were catching white bass. Probably best to use the yak for the next couple of weeks.

The advertising has helped many - most of your everyday visitors and posters in this exact thread to where the fish are located..by..us..boaters. That are 1) kayak accessible 2) walk in accessible.

It’s a 2way street. 👍🏻👍🏻
