Do you live in San Antonio? I do... always looking for someone to fish with. Kayak 99% of the time.

Before I left SA over a decade ago, I used to fish Boerne on an almost weekly basis. Once I figured out a pattern, that lake became one one my most consistent producers. Haven't been home in a couple years, but the last time I was there the same pattern held true and my boys and I caught 30-40 fish of all species in about 2 hours. Take a look at some of my old posts and that should give you an idea about where and how I catch fish in that lake, probably the main thing is you gotta use light line. As stated, there's no hydrilla, but there are substantial and very important other weed lines in the lake. There are some massive gills and redears in there, have caught both over 1.5lb and have seen bigger while snorkeling. Like most clear lakes it doesn't produce anything really huge, my PB bass has been a little over 5lb and have caught a couple channels pushing 10, but it is full of bass in the 1-3 range and cats in the 3-5 range. I have never caught or seen a flattie but I'm sure they're in there, wish there were blues. In the evening, the white bass blow up the surface along the dam. You need a long casting rig to get out to them but it is possible. Good luck, the fish are in there.

I would fish for those white bass in the evening but apparently that park closes at 7 I think? I wouldn't get there after work till around 5, assuming no traffic problems, and it's too hot now to fish at 5 and when it's cooling off then the park closes so there's really no point.

Well Hadite I may go fishing Sunday morning if you want to go, but I normally go pretty early. I may go to medina again Sunday or possibly a small river. If I go to Medina I'm going to try to be there around 6-7 am.

Yeah it will probably by windy as it's going to go from 90 degrees to 58 to 94, but the fishing was hot in the wind last time.

Apologies for the delay. I've been busy the past week.
I don't doubt that people have had great days at Boerne. I was hoping it would be the same for me. It's possible that a change in tactics would have brought better results.
To whoever asked, yes I live in San Antonio. Just moved here after living overseas for the past 11 years.
Still going fishing in the morning? I'm free if you need someone to go with. Wouldn't mind checking out Medina or local rivers.
