Great thread! Y’all are having way too much fun. What color Mepps lure work best. Looks like it is red and a gold spinner. I am planning a few trips to Tawakoni this year. Hope to have as much fun as you.

Slick Rick, it is a yellow on 1 side and red on the other side, bodied Mepps with a silver spinner. It is a Mepps Aglia plain.

OK, in my post of April 10, I mentioned that when I go out on a fishing trip, I have a new target number of 153, and I asked you to guess where I got that number. My grandson Sam guessed it right off. Before I tell you, I'll give you one last chance to figure it out. Dennis

Its the number Simon Peter and his fellow apostles caught after Jesus told them to cast their net on the right side. This was when Jesus met them in Galilee after His resurrection. John chapter 21.
