the eye candy at central market is real.

I love central market, I hate the parking lot at fort worth. Getting in and out with a truck is no bueno

We'll shop at the HEB Plus in Beaumont at least once a month (50 miles). Great variety of products and their store brand is really good. Their seafood and fish market is flush with outstanding sales and good products. Canner size lobster tails are often on for $5 each so we'll add that to our steak dinners from time to time. I buy my salmon filets there regularly. Just an overall great store. Oh, almost forgot, I can get the Luby's frozen mac dishes there.

Now there are 2 other HEB food stores that are in towns we frequent I wouldn't drive 2 blocks out of my way to shop at Both are small and meh. Now, we do most of our grocery shopping a WM or Brookshire Bros. in Woodville, so not a lot of choices around here.

I understand there's a difference in Brookshire's and Brookshire Brothers stores. Is this right?

When Hurrican Harvey hit Houston, HEB got volunteer employees from the Hill Country to go to Houston and open get those stores up and running while the Houston area folks took care of their families. When the internet crashed at my local HEB during SNOWVID 2021, it shut down the cash registers. The manager told folks to just take what they have in their carts and go home, don't worry about checking out. They're a top notch company.
