You would prolly like one, though, cause they rank real high up there with swimming pools regarding “fun to have”.

I bought one that was fully depreciated and got my moneys worth and then some. Make sure you have a big enough tow vehicle for what ever you choose. If I get another for camping I'd probably just get a 26' with a slide so it's not to heavy.

Guess I’m one to swim against the current on this. We just bought our second RV last month. I’m responding while sitting in my new RV while camping at Huntsville SP.

Our first was a bumper pull travel trailer which we owned for 4 years. We traded it in for a class A. There were specific features we were looking for that our trailer didn’t have.

We enjoy the travel and camping. Sleeping in the same bed every night. Being able to cook our own meals. With this new rig, the wife and I are planning on expanding our travel and our adventures.

Whether you buy new or used chances are you will.learn to make small repairs regularly if you actually use it.

Different strokes I suppose. We still like ours. It's a small Winnebago pull behind. We tent camped for years while the kids were young and this is luxury to us. Flat screen TV, microwave, stand up shower, queen bed, refrig., sink etc. It works great for us since it is not a nail biter to pull with a 3/4 ton pu. We go to bluegrass festivals and parks and I get to pick around a campfire and the wife watches TV. Then meeting new folks is fun. Cheap to insure, expensive to store. There is some maintenance on them, but not that bad.

Got an AF buddy that sold his home and bought one. He has been chasing the sun around the USA now for 3 years. Wife and I looked into it a few years back, but I have to duck down walking inside many of the trailer types. Not very comfortable. She didn't want to go the Class A Rig. If I'm still capable I might get a nice Class C once she passes on, and just go lake hopping around the USA.

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

Don't buy an RV. Get a good travel trailer and a pick-up truck. That way you can drop the trailer and use the truck to get around. And don't buy a new trailer since they depreciate too fast. Get one 2 or 3 years old in good shape.

That is what I do. I have a pop up at the deer lease but camping involves fishing and the boat. In winter I try to get electric site for my heater, electric blanket, and coffee maker. A buddy asked me once if I still tent camp and I said heck yes.

After much thought and investigation, this is how I feel also.

Don't buy a boat! They are expensive, something is always breaking and are always trouble. Money pits. Just like rvs and every other toy.
