I don't think either trail has a "weak" field. Some of the new guys at BASS could hang with any of the old BASS guard. Walters, Welcher, and New among many others could hold their own easily. Both leagues are filled with some really good anglers and of course a smaller percentage of incredibly talented anglers. Agreed. I'm glad a bunch of young guys got in the elites. Pickwick has turned out to be a slug fest even with a blown out lake.

All trolling and kidding aside, it’s great to have fishing show options available when I want to watch TV, instead of all the other [censored] that is on cable these days. And yes, I love watching both MLF and BASS.

Lowen, a stand up guy gives a kid in audience a membership to BASS! Did the kid get the sticker, and 3 crummy lures, decoder ring, and poor fitting hat that BASS keeps offering me....  Doubt it, but he will get a letter every couple of months beginning next month saying it is time to "renew" his membership that expires two years from now. I like watching any fishing show that is available as well as most of the guys on here btw- Just like taking jabs at the zealots who lean way too far one way or the other.

I kinda feel bad for some of the pros too, it’s hard to build up a fan base when the only public interaction with fans you get to have may be at a sponsor event at some tackle store or bait shop. It kind of knees caps the anglers ability to build a following. That’s all in the life of an MLF’r though... they should have figured that into the equation before going into their deal.

It’s near the very end of it. I like how BASS is also utilizing YouTube for their content... they are having short segments like that where they go live on YouTube as well and have fan interaction in the chat. I hope they refine it to where it’s a scheduled and advertised thing because it seems it’s been unannounced and spontaneous up to this point... I’ve only been able to catch one while it was still going live. Even then, there was about 50 people in it and they were answering questions in the chat

That's because 99.9% of the under 25 crowd is reached through a screen. Instagram & YouTube Is where they build tens of thousands of fans; not from a couple dozen kids at a weigh in.
