I was just thinking about the Bass House (Plano location) and The Fishin' Store. I met Tommy for the first time at the Fishin' Store. I used to bring my first BassCat there (1993 Pantera II). I did not make it much to Smitty's. It was a little far away from me.

Any store still closed is either using this an excuse to be lazy or scared for nothing. Either way they won't get my money.

I called last week to see if their retail store was open. They told me no, "due to covid they would remain closed". Said they are looking at June/July to re-open retail portion. Mail order is still filling orders.

I am to the point of agreement with the wuhan gift that keeps on giving , so over it.

If all those that “used” to go to these stores, kept going they would still be in business. For some reason everyone thought the big box was better.
Spent nearly every Wednesday lunch in Smithy’s after eating at the Charco Broiler from 1989 until they closed. Jimmy a his parents were the best.

Grew up just north of White Rock and I vaguely remember a tackle store on NWY, we had the Outdoorsman store in Casa Linda, In junior high and high school I would ride my bike to the Fishing Store when I was on Jupiter.

TC Hall on Bucker was another good store back then.

Remember Walkers Sporting Goods Store on E. Jefferson in Far East Grand Prairie? Now we’ll find out who is really old.......

Where exactly was this nw hwy tackle store. I grew up across the street from flag pole but don’t remember?

Smitty's was where we begged to go to, We bought a handful of worms for a dollar. Smitty used his big hand to fill the paper sack for us. Was sad when it caught fire.

I can remember the little bait store in seagoville called g and s tackle had a small worm bar and also sold live bait that was the good old days for sure riding bike up there to get some baits and hit the gravel pits

Store on NW highway, if you headed east from Flagpole hill on NW highway, past the police station and up the hill, was in a strip center on the right maybe a 1/2 mile up there. I never knew there was a stroe in Casa Linda, what year would that have been?

Where the Pizza Hut currently is or down a bit further across from Kroger?

Any idea of a year they closed?
