Nacogdoches Naconchie Pinkston... Never been to any of these lakes. I will be staying up toward that way the first weekend of June and will be bringing the boat. Just wondering which one of these I should go check out. Does Pinkston have a ramp for a bigger boats?? Unless my Google Earth is out of date, it appears they are all dirt ramps. Thanks fellas

Nacogdoches. The fish should be setting up on deeper structure in June. If you locate them may catch a ton. If have some sour grape centipedes, that zoom doesn't make anymore could be the deal. The big point pass highline on East side. Fine the creek on the north side of point and Carolina rig this in towards the point. Also try point on same side before highline. It has several spots of brush on it.

Naconiche for me. Pinkston is a good lake, but getting there & parking sucks. Went once & will not go back. Kurth Lake in Lufkin is a better choice than Pinkston, only thing is you have to go get a Permit from the city of Lufkin. Hope this helps & maybe we will see you out there someday.
Reality. What a concept!

With the exception of the Cypress trees (there may be a couple but they are not prevalent) it is a typical East Texas lake.

Are the ramps on Pinkston a [censored] show or what? They are awful. I was there two weeks ago. I washed my truck and boat the day before, then sloshed through the red mud that is supposed to be a parking lot. What a mess. As for stumpy...yes and yes on Pinkston and Naconiche. Nacogdoches doesn't have nearly as much timber, especially south of the high line. I assume everyone knows not to run in the very back of pockets when they don't know a lake.

Naconiche is a good lake, for sure. I look forward to going there again and pitching some Senkos. I LOVE KURTH but it is such a pain to get "permission" to enter the Lufkin sacred domain. It gets VERY vegetated in the hot months, therefore I don't fish it year round. I think when you turn 65, you can get a yearly pass for 1/2 price. I fished Pinkston one weekend by staying in Nacogdoches. It is a pain in the drain to launch your boat there. I thought I would never get the red clay dust out of my boat and car from the unpaved roads. There is no real boat ramp.

Nacogdoches is good fishing typical East Texas lake. To run about highline you need to know where to go or just idle speed. The zoom centipede is definitely different from bubble fry. I prefer centipede.

What Pinkston ramp did you use? On the west side of the lake?

I prefer centipede. What is “the high line?” I’ve never even laid an eye on any of these lakes.. are we talking about power line running through the lake?

Highline wires are what city folk refer to as power lines
