Has anyone found a current entry fees and payout schedule for the 2021 BPT. It appears what’s on their website is outdated and perhaps is still showing the 2020 rules, as it refers to a field of 80 anglers and there is no mention of entry fees. The schedule shows what appear to have a few of the events having an event sponsor, but not all of them. With their season kicking off at end of this weekend/beginning of next week, one would think they would have all those details ironed out by now and available for public disclosure?

Yes, Google is your friend (probably your only one...) I didn’t find anything specific to my question, but did find out you can begin watching 2hr long highlight segments of the tournament that starts on March 21st and concludes March 26th, on August 8th, airing on Discovery channel, with additional segments airing each Saturday afterwords until the conclusion of the event. Oh, they also added a blurb in there to be a CYA as to why they have no fans. In accordance with COVID-19 protocols, attendance at Major League Fishing events is currently limited to competing anglers, essential staff and media covering the event only. That’s some great exposure to the sport and league. That only write up I came across also mentioned $100k going to winner, but showed no further breakdown and there was no mention of entry fees for the tournament.

Man, they are living rent free in your head Nah, but that CYA that got printed for MLF on March 16th should tick off the Texans of this site! There are no longer any “COVID-19 protocols” for Texas, they’ve been abolished by the state gov’t! ! Thats a pretty bold move for MLF go against the Texas authorities and prohibit all them fans from coming to see and rooting for the best anglers in the world! Now how about that entry fees and payout schedule for the 2021 BPT season, has anyone been able to find it yet?

There is still county and local rules enforced, as well as business by business options as to masks/distancing/occupation levels, etc. what ticks off Texans is the entire pandemic and how it was started.

Yes, it is interesting. It’s almost as if they don’t want the general public to know what the payout structure is for the BPT tournaments and how the anglers now having to pay entry fees has impacted it.

I don't care, I'm not competing. I'm just watching to learn from the best in the world, see the current conditions and to see some drama. Also I like rooting for some guys to win and others to go down in a blaze.

I'd think you could ask the anglers if you want to know. I assume the majority are happy with the deal, just like the majority are in every other league.

I'd think you could ask the anglers if you want to know. I assume the majority are happy with the deal, just like the majority are in every other league. In every other league that is publicly available information. This is a league that was started on the premise there would be no entry fees and payouts would still be comparable to other leagues. Shouldn’t that be publicly verifiable, or is that one of those things that should be hidden behind NDA’s and Confidentiality Agreements?
