Here in CO if anything its even worse. Sometimes they get sooooo many boats on a lake they use the rule that only allows a
boat to launch when a boat comes off the water. At my local lake its not unheard of to have to wait 2 hrs to launch on the weekends.

Fortunately I'm retired and can fish during the week but its still way more crowded than 5 yrs ago. Just like TX we have people moving here
from all over the US. Its a problem without a solution-I only see it getting worse in the future.

Fished 2 of the biggest lakes in Texas last week/weekend, Rayburn and TBend. Thursday was the only day it didn’t look like bumper boats.

I'm still living in California until June. Covid restrictions have had the complete opposite effect of what the government wanted. Everything is more busy, especially the lakes and rivers. A local tackle store told me their sales were up 200%. My family goes to a church which has refused to shut down or enforce masks and now it is packed every Sunday. Restaurants with outdoor and now indoor dining are constantly busy. Everything is out of stock. Basically if something is open, it is busy.
It is getting quite annoying how busy the lakes are, but I understand why, people want something to do.

If they would raise the price of a fishing license to $10K a year it would thin the crowds a little

So this is the result of the government saying you don't have to work and printing out and giving people money, this surely can't go on forever can it? I'm already hearing how inflation is likely to go up much more than expected this year, the piper will be paid.

Exactly. Just let people make their own money.

If my lifetime license is still valid, let’s go for it.

Hell. Like boats and graphs...they’d sell out and a license would be back ordered.

Why I can’t stand this time of year especially on weekends. As a non boater, everyone and there family is both on the bank and on boats. Especially after covid, haven’t gone fishing much besides a few spots near my house cause of it. I’ll stick to hunting
