Lay flat on your back on carpet, or firm mattress. Slowly lift one knee at a time and pull it into your chest while keeping other leg flat. Pull as tight into your chest as possible and hold for 30 seconds. Then do the same thing on other side. Then pull both knees in at the same time.
Then repeat all three stretches.
It helps if you have someone help push your knee into your chest. Have them press on your hamstring to avoid putting extra pressure on your knees. Push in right up to the point it is painful, then back off until it no longer hurts. Thanks. Just gave this one a try and am now looking for some others. I've finally decided it's not going away on it's own so it's time to try a few things Put hands behind knees and raise them as close to your chest as possible . Lean your legs to one side as far as you can , then lean to the opposite side . Repeat . Do this slowly and don't try to force it .
Maranatha !

I hope it doesn't come to that! It would be the best $300 you ever spent. Been a full 2 years for me now and I would have paid $3000 if I had believed I would feel this good.

I don't really know what the jesus shot is other than what I read on here a long time back and have forgotten that, but it sounds like a mega steroid shot. Your pain is from an inflamed nerve and swelling . Steroids will definitely help that. Steroids are anti-inflammatory.
Aleve(naproxen sodium) is the anti-inflammatory I recommend but they are really hard on your gut and potentially your kidneys. 440 mg is the recommended dose but I'd take 660mg first dose (I do when my back flares up) and then rest. Rest for at least 24 hours but longer would be better. You have to let the inflamed tissue cool off and the swelling go down. The Aleve is every 12 hours. TAKE WITH FOOD. I'd even take some Pepcid Complete.
This works for me. I've laid flat on my back for 2 days before only getting up for necessities.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

There’s a desk my bosses have that adjust so you can stand up and work on the computer it’s kinda cool . I think you get them at Office Depot it’s a platform that you sit your keyboard and monitor on your original desk to move to your height or you can get the whole desk

Go see a high quality chiropractor and let him work on your spinal alignment. The other thing I’d say is make it your mission to stretch your glutes, hips, hamstrings, etc. every day. It will make a difference. . This and stay moving is what helped me the most

broke my L4 twice in younger years doing sports --- . As an adult , I have done Chiro hundreds of times -- and it's good for quick relief . I also have an inversion table that i use weekly , along with lots of stretching . Two years ago , my sciatica went along with piroformis syndrome and I could barely walk , crazy pain that went down my leg and I couldn't feel my foot at all . I tried everything as prior -- nothing was working . I decided to try a deep acupuncture method ---ONE visit and I had ZERO pain , it was crazy --- best $85 bucks I ever spent . The technique is practiced more with traditional trained acupuncturist's .It wasn't pleasant at all , in fact she hit a nerve in my back and my entire body jumped a foot off the table . She also did a electric stim method while the needles were in --- then did standard cupping after the needles were removed .
