Twitch and pause. After twitching the jig, pause and watch for the float to twitch. A retrieve and pause can work too, but most fish were caught by the twitch and pause method. Waves can impart action on the jig and bobber if you use a wiggly grub like the slabalicious or a marabou jig. A jig n bobber also works well as a trolling rig when kayak fishing.
