I don't think timing or the perfect storm had anything to do with it. They were targeting fish that are rarely fished for.
I bet those same guys could show up again this week and have similar success.
Since the secret is out, I can't wait to read about all the 40 lb stringers the local guys catch consistently.
Give credit where its due. Yes there are some great local hammers, but none of them have ever done what these guys did in a little over a week. Josh Jones is back....and hammering them again according to his facebook page 🤔🤷♂️

That is because it isn't the only lake out here fishing good. In fact, right now it isn't even the best lake in west Texas. Then maybe don't comment on what lakes are or are not good out here. There are 3 lakes out here producing big bags right now, and you don't have to deal with the people. Ivie was fishing the best the last 3 months, but with the pressure it isn't now. You live in denton, maybe you should sit this one out. I do not agree or disagree with your opinion. Unless I missed it, which 3 lakes are better right now?

Apparently he hit this lake just in time too. Man this guy just plans his trips perfectly, or just maybe he is a little better than some want to admit. Been keeping my boat at that lake for 6.5 years and can count on 1 hand how many fish over 5 lbs I’ve caught there. I hope he hammers them, looking forward to his videos. Also he never once dropped a lake name, it’s all the people that know the lake and recognize the lake that are quick to start naming lakes and then fuss when everybody shows up there. Gonna bet when everybody takes off to that lake more will be humbled than were humbled on Ivie.
