If you are mounting a trolling motor directly to a fiberglass boat make sure to use rubber isolators. I replaced mine with a XI5 and discovered that the idiot that installed the original one did not. Now I have 2 grooves in my boat. Why someone would not spend an extra $20 on a $50,000 boat chaps my butt. Not the first thing have found that I did not like on this boat or others that I have found. Sometimes if you want something done right you have to do it yourself.
