I’m in the process of rigging LiveScope on a fishing specialty’s pole, but not sure if I should add a additional side scan transducer as well to the bottom and have the LiveScope on the side of the pole. Just curious how some of y’all have them rigged. All I currently have is the 2d universal transducer built in to the terrova. I am running sideview at the console with a GT56UHD, the one I can add to the pole would be a GT54UHD. Wasn’t sure if there would be any interference or issues with having two transducers on the same pole. I won’t be able to link my console graphs to the one on the bow because there is not a raceway or access on my boat between them.

Thanks in advance, Cody.

I have the fishing specialties pole on the front deck, I would not want the added weight of another transducer on it. Plus I only run sidescan from the console. In a previous setup , I had sidescan on the trolling motor, but really never used it up there.

Sidescan on a pole won’t work like livescope on a pole. Every time you turn the pole it’s going to distort the image.

I had this same setup. It worked fine for me until I forgot to pull it up when beaching. It snapped the plastic that holds the pole. I went with a ram mount so it would fold away if I hit something. Never had any interference issues. As Slewfoot said turning the pole in side image mode distorts the image. I only use side image when moving from spot to spot, then switching to regular sonar when I got where I was going. Weight on the pole was no problem. I have since removed the side image transducer as I really only scan from the console. I just use the trolling motor transducer at the bow graph.

i would run the sidescan transducer on your TM and the live scope on the pole.
