Gotcha - thanks. $575 plus the gun for that setup isn't bad at all. That's a crazy sweet pistol. If you choose to form a trust or other entity to own your NFA firearms (this includes suppressors, SBR's, full autos, etc), then there's a one-time expense on that as well. An NFA firearm can be owned by a trust, corporation, LLC, and so on, and setting one of these up isn't terribly expensive, but it can seem disproportionate for the first item you're getting. Example: had someone ask me recently about setting up an NFA trust for him for a suppressor. Told him the price, his response was that he could get one of the generic 'one shot' kiosk trusts for $59 or $99 or so. If that's the only NFA firearm that the person will ever own, then no big deal. But, as noted by a couple guys above, it's tough to stop at one. Add up a few of those one shot trusts and it'll quickly exceed the cost of a personalized trust that's flexible enough to add more firearms to.

I'm not a fan of quick/cheap stuff. I used to be, but you learn the hard way after enough of that, that doing it the right way is usually cheaper and always easier in the long run.

Why a suppressor on a .22? To keep the neighborhood cats under control?
