Growing up in Louisiana they put a ton of groceries on our table, sadley they are illegal here. Folks were real bad about leaving them with dead fish on them; especially at TBend and that drew the ire of TP&W sevral decades ago. If you run them in an area where there are lots of turtles all youll take off the hook is fish lips, the turtles will eat the rest an in pretty short order. My dad and I used to set them and stay close enought to here them trip. On a good clear night you could here them go off and the fish splashing.
