Heard theres an ice fishing tourny thurs there they need cpl more nites before its frozen enough to walk on.

Real close to my camper. Have no idea if anything survives on the plumbing side. Maybe it's totally trashed and the insurance will get me off my [censored] and use the $$$ to partially fund a newer camper. Mine's 30 years old and needs an uplift.

I'm not surprised. The official low in Tyler last night was 6 below. That's the coldest in recorded history. We got up to I think 9 yesterday. It's 15 now.
Nothing is melting.

Not only global warming, but this was supposed to be an unusually warm La Nina winter.
They really have no idea. Global warming is heating the arctic and it's f'ing with the polar vortex. So instead of the polar vortex sitting over the poles it's dropping down where it normally would't. One reason the north east is having more sever storms in the winter and more snow. At least that's what the scientist say. Believe what you want, but just because we're getting these extreme weather conditions in the winter doesn't mean we aren't experiencing global warming and the manifestations of it. And as soon as this leaves it's back to 61 by monday and 65 on tues.

Our historical average high temperature this time of year is close to 60, so 61 and 65 wouldn't be surprisingly warm. 6 below zero and two major winter storms in three days, on the other hand...
I like how experiencing the coldest temperatures in history is just a freak WEATHER phenomenon, but hotter than normal temperatures aren't just weather, they are proof of CLIMATE change.

Cyclical patterns are not Global Warming or Man Made Climate Change. Facts are Facts, Data is Data. Massaging those to a political agenda is Politics.
