I fish the Mexico side all the time and never seen any nets Surely you jest.. I saw no less than 5 boats working nets this last week. Some will leave the end floats above water. Some leave them just below the surface. I usually fish the Mexico side near Box Canyon and like I said, never see nets there. The netters are prevalent from the rain god up past Burro. And both Zorro's, Tulie, Cabillo, both sides of pig island. Most nets on Amistad are deep enough you want get them with your motor. Sometimes when they start setting way in the backs of coves they will be right on top. Thats the ones to really watch for.

If you come across any just cut them and fish on' Way to many took this serious No kidding. Proof you’re getting old: you don’t understand an emoji following a statement means “I was kidding”! “ ” Seriously though, I’m guessing the tilapia population is way less at Amistad than Falcon because the nets on Falcon at times are EVERYWHERE on the Mexican side up in the shallows. Years ago when the lake filled completely(above full pool) you couldn’t go to the backs of the coves without encountering nets all over the place. Had to really keep an eye out because they ran completely across the openings back in these creeks/coves. Many didn’t have enough floats on top to keep them on the surface and visible. Wrapped up in your prop was a mess! It took a while to get free. OK: y’all can start w/the explanations of what the Mexican fisherman do for a living...... Guess I'm old, usually a joke is followed by a smiley or laughing emoji. Lots of things to joke about around here but doing so about another man's livelihood I find tasteless, esp with the naivety here with some. My 2 cents...
