Great pics. I had one show up at my ranch in Navarro county a few years back. I knew nothing about them and did research because I never believed an owl would live in a hole. She had a batch of young ones and they stayed around all one summer. I guess they got used to me because my presence didn't seem to bother them. They would fly up when startled but land 30 or so yards away and just watch me. The chicks grew rapidly and when the weather started cooling, they left never to return. Thanks for the memories.
