Have 250 Yamaha. It’s trimmed all the way down and I can’t get it to raise up to put motormate on. I’ve turned the screw on release valve and can’t budge it. I have a leak so oil can out. I at least need to get it to put more oil In so it will function and take to a mechanic.

You used to be able to swap the trim relays and get it to work. If down works,(that is good relay). Just unplug them and swap. Not sure about newer engines.

that motor is fairly heavy. If you are sure the release valve is turned all the way out, you may need some one to help you raise the motor. Do you hear any of the relays clicking when you hit the switch?
Does the motor come on when you hit the switch? If not try one of the other switches.

All my electronics work. The cap is leaking oil. I can get it to tighten. I turned the release to let it down so the water would drain with the freeze coming. As it released the rest of the oil came out of where the cap is. I can as told with the release screw turned I could raise it but it’s not budging.

Update. Future son in law whose too good for my daughter came over. We both was able to manually tilt the motor. Couldn’t get it all the way but have a game plan for tomorrow.
