I suck at winter bass fishing. I didn’t fish today but I captained my kids in a tournament and I couldn’t put them on one fish.
I have my first tournament of the season next weekend in the 30 degree weather. Yeah, I might as well stay home. If you were where I think you were (Granbury) don't worry too much about it. I was out there all day saturday too and only foul hooked a 30 lb carp. We fished from 8 to 5:30 and not even much of a nibble. Where is your tournament this coming weekend? Yep Granbury! I don’t think I’ll ever fish that lake again. It’s the bane of my existence! This Saturday is lake Whitney which I’ve never been on! Only my second real tournament ever. I’m a noob if you can’t tell. Noob here too. We fished Whitney back in November and it was a beating. Literally. Winds were high that day and that lake gets freaking rough. Only time I've ever been scared on the water. What tournaments are you fishing? Hit me up if you need a backseat or want to be a backseat.

It’s a club trail I signed up for.
For Whitney I was thinking about trying some deep cranking.
The kids next tournament is March 6 on lake Arlington. Never been on that lake either haha.
