Of course with my first tournament of the year coming up on the 13th the weather is going to be miserable, welcome to tournament season...lol

ive worn a closed face motorcycle helmet quite a few times for running in nasty/freezing weather

I loved tournaments like that. Half the guys are already mentally beaten before the tournament even starts.

Got my 3rd one this year tomorrow at Ivie. Won't be 27 and foggy in the morning like the last one but will be 22mph winds out of the NW with gusts to 30. Oh joy.

Yep rod boxes and live wells frozen shut, dipping your rod in the water to unfreeze the rod guides, ice cold spray that freezes to your clothes.
It's not too bad once your hands and face go numb, but getting to that point is a B.
Good Times! LOL

Get out the traps and rip some grass....they'll still be there.

There is a HS Tourney this weekend on Rayburn and there are supposed to be 400 boats.

Back in my 20's and 30's, there wasn't a more exciting time than the first tourney of the year whether it was below 20 or above. Invincibility! Thank goodness I graduated from that thought process.
