I see the Tak thread, he was with Ranger a long long time, bunch of guys have left Ranger this year. I haven not seen an explanation, if they don't give them boats for free as its been said why so many jumping to other brands?

They would fish out of a pile of junk and tell you it's the best product out there if it means they get paid to do so. From what I have read, Ranger cut back on what the deals were they were providing anglers.

There's just a lot of good choices now. Ranger runs ranger but is under Morris umbrella so to speak. Lots of competition where you dont have to put with something you dont like on a boat if you have the money. I love my z20 but have always wanted a Lynx.
When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip! #Brockstarama

They have cut back on support for Pro anglers and upped the support (supposedly) for anglers in the lower fishing brackets.

Johnny Morris is putting together some kind of tournament series for WRM boats, so something is in the works.

There’s been rumored that JM is significantly paring down his pro staff so he can redirect those recouped financial resources to a new tournament venture out west to fill the void that’s always been there. Apparently there was a leaked promotional graphic floating around that hinted at some big tournament out west with a million dollar purse.

Lots of Triton guys left WRM as well, Gary Klein is in a Caymas and I believe Kreit went there as well.

Its called the US Open but its not associated with the US Open out west. The WRI version is reported to have a $1M top prize.

Not sure anyone except those affected really know but you can be sure it involves money. Christie made it a point to say he quit Ranger and was not fired. Not sure why that mattered but he would not go into his reason for leaving.
