ranger an some of the other boat builders have figured out they dont have to discount or let folks use a boat for free all the boat manufacturers are running behind on getting new boats out the door to dealers so they can sell them to retail customers .

Not sure anyone except those affected really know but you can be sure it involves money. Christie made it a point to say he quit Ranger and was not fired. Not sure why that mattered but he would not go into his reason for leaving.

Maybe give it a second listen. Express is what Ranger was but is not anymore. Same story is repeating on WRM & JM. Just repeatedly served in slightly different flavors for the past 3 years or so.

That Express is nothing like old Rangers. I’ve been in Express boats. He will need a new set of Nuts by the end of the season. Lol.

If I sold all my inventory faster than I could produce boats pretty sure I might stop offering so many incentives too(ie: advertising $$$). Just thinkn and sayn.

This be true. They are catering to a much larger audience, not just to a handful of the guys at the top who will jump ship about as fast as a popcorn far! on a hot skillet. They would fish out of a pile of junk and tell you it's the best product out there if it means they get paid to do so. From what I have read, Ranger cut back on what the deals were they were providing anglers. They have cut back on support for Pro anglers and upped the support (supposedly) for anglers in the lower fishing brackets.

2 things. He is working on the new trail out west and he cut back the pro ranks to sponsor more entry level anglers.

Don’t think he meant the boats themselves but more so the companies. Xpress being more family run and taking care of their people and Ranger is now a huge company only about the $.

I didn’t read all the post, so forgive me if this was already posted. LD said that Ranger only wanted to keep 25 guys on their pro-staff. JC did leave on his own and it seems like one other one did too, but the name escapes me right now.

I find it more interesting what brands they are not going to. They are obviously not going to other WRM brands, but they are also not going to the brand created by the former Ranger folks that were "Vexed" by the deal with WRM.
