Haha bond money pays for those facilities not your taxes. The bond money was voted on by the people of argyle. Apparently it was important enough to the majority to pass the bond for those facilities. By the way I can guarantee you that your home value is reaping the benefits of those facilities. Argyle is a desirable place to live.

Home value is like stocks. It means nothing until you sell or take equity out. For me all it does is raise my taxes and provide a bigger inheritance for the kids. I vote against every bond election. We don't all need to keep up with Allen.

Right next door in Tyler County ... $1500.00 last year, dropped to $1100.00 this year. Mrs. RayBob works at the hospital there in Livingston.

Three houses in a row in the same block.
House 1 pays 5000 year
House two pays 800 a year
House 3 pays 2400 a year
Its true check zillow or other real estate sites out and its totally unfair.

Just paid mine. $18K I believe. Tough to swallow, but cheaper than private school for the kids.

That definitely does not sound right but Zillow is not the place to check. If you want to verify check the Dallas County Tax Appraisal website should be dallascad.org.

I'm in Galveston Co. Right up there with the highest in the state. I'm out of here as soon as I can get my ducks in a row. Sell this place and move on.

I would guess my Taxes to 1000 to 1100 per month. My Tax and insurance combined is about 1400 per month.

Thanks, Billy

Get you some rental property, they arent capped at how much they can raise. I have 2 that have gone up almost 100 percent in 6 years. The taxes on on of them are 7k and one pushing 6k. They are about what I would classify as starter houses in aledo isd.

Well when I said WAWI was kinda joking reference to the baller thread but yeah the business side of things is awful

For us to exist each year is $60k before we sell a thing , and then our lovely gov gets their share gain wise when we sell.

Do we really ever own anything guys?

Home wise we live in a 2 br townhome so not horrible

So where do we set up shop after we decide to become passengers?
