I would think he would take a legend exemption to go back to BASS if one was given. Two people ahead of him on the legend exemptions that might come back. One is Roland Martin and I can’t remember who the other is. [img]http://[/img] IKEThey decided to give no exemptions this year, Roland and Nixon both wanted in but they didn't get the call up, Ike don't know if he wanted back or would have taken if offered. Some of this comment is not factually correct.

The bigger issue is WTF is Big O doing back on the TFF? Come on man....please don’t start your stuff up again

Why would you not let Roland Martin in? Just add one more spot to the field.
If you don't want to expand the field by one, is the general public going to be more interested in seeing a 9 time Angler of the Year who was a fixture on TV for decades...or some 20 year old no one ever heard of?
This is not a difficult situation to figure out.

Roland said he did not want to go back to bass . And I don’t think Nixon has had to pay a entry fee for years to hear him say it .
And I can’t believe BASS would not want IKE back He is one of the best ambassadors for the sport there is . Yea the flag deal was a big screw up . But that was pure raw emotion!!

I think Ike chose to "sit out" this year
He really is a brand of his own and has a lot more options than most

If you read the article about him and his choice this year it lays it out. He couldn't commit to MLF on time because of a tv show opportunity and couldn't commit to BASS because of his partial ownership stake in MLF. He did say he wants to tournament fish but didn't know if he could do BASS Opens without digging into his owner contract with MLF.

Smart move....there's more money in media production, youtube generation, etc than any tournaments. Make way more and have fun doing it He may of aged out of that and has actually won stuff so there are 2 strikes against that.
