Went to 5 different stores and purchased 1 ticket at each. They're selling them like hotcakes.

I dropped $20 for each one Monday. Out of all those numbers I got 1 number on 3 tickets.

Lottery: Poor man's tax on people bad at math.  Absolutely 100% correct. Yet I do occasionally buy a ticket and here's why: I like the daydream. I view the $2 ticket price as a payment. My return for that payment is the chance to sit back and dream on what it would be like to have a half billion dollar windfall. My offer above still stands, and it is definitely a better financial investment than buying a ticket. But I do enjoy the daydream. This is the same way I look at it. A movie is like 12 bucks and I get two hours of entertainment. A bottle of wine is 20 bucks and I get 2 hours of entertainment. A lotter ticket is 2 bucks an I get a couple hours of entertainment daydreaming about what I'd do with the cash. I am as statistically minded as the come. I probably spend 20 bucks a year on lottery tickets when the jackpots get big.

If I won I would set aside a decent war chest of funds and use it to fight the lib’s minimum wage increase.
