Beautiful fish! cheers

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

16lb caught there Last January. Also has big striper... 34lb is the lake record.

No not last year....it had a great abundance of hydrilla untill about 2012-2013. Grass carp stockings cleared it out completely. It went straight down hill from there. It's just a hard bottom rocky half pipe basically. When they added hydrilla, it expanded the carrying capacity and the lake was transformed. It's just another lake now with an infrequent big fish caught. No different than most texas lakes that also have 13+ swimming around. Same as lady bird lake below lake austin, it was full of hydrilla and amazing fishing until the big floods a few years ago. It not only swept out most of the grass but also grass carp came in from lake austin to eat the rest.

LA became a rock & dock lake with lower visibility...criminal smh.
You should've seen the beds up lake...in August. I'd heard of 20 lb beds before on Rayburn...to see one in person on LA was a whole different gig.

In '10-11' It was glorious the fields of grass went on and on along the channel..it wasn't rocket science.
I preferred fishing during the day @ the 360 bridge wall with all of the jet skis & wake boarders their wakes created a artificial wind blown bank. Flip a weightless swimbait or craw in the rocks...like taking candy from a baby.
That was then..
