Normally this message would be announcing the date and location for our first meeting of 2021. However, given the state of all things Covid, we will not be having a meeting in January. After discussing the situation with the Club Officers we have decided it is too risky to hold a gathering as large as our normal January meeting is. If you were on the Club roster in 2020, an e-mail was sent out to you today (Sunday) detailing ways to register with the Club for 2021 without coming to a meeting. That being said, I will be at Bass Pro in Garland this coming Thursday evening, January 14th from 6:30-7:30 to take memberships for ALL NEW members, or returning members if you would rather register in person. We ask that you be masked and keep to all state regulations for distancing to do this safely. Membership costs $30.00 and you can pay by cash or check made out to Ray Hubbard Bass Club. A membership lasts a calendar year (Jan 1-Dec 31) and includes your entire immediate family. I will be downstairs in the boat sales area. Look for me there.

2021 announcements are this. We had a few rules changes as voted in by members at our November meeting. First is our Club Championship in November CANNOT be fished on a lake/lakes that we fished during the regular season. An all new lake will be fished and the vote for that lake will take place at the June 2021 meeting. Our 2021 Schedule can be found right here in the Bass Clubs section.

For next season, the distance we can travel for regular season tournaments has been expanded to a 150 mile radius from Bass Pro in Garland. The expanded list of lakes to be selected for 2022 will be available for our Lake Selection at our end of year meeting. As always, the Championship lake is exempt from this rule.

Our first tournament of the year will be Saturday February 13th on Lake Palestine. Registration/Live Well Check and weigh in will be held at Lake Palestine Resort. Registration will start at 5:15AM in the office. First cast will be at 6:45. Lines out at 3:00 and your chip back on the board at Lake Palestine Resort by 3:30. Weigh in will begin at that time. Remember, once you have registered and had your livewell checked, you may trailer to a ramp of your choice. A full tournament announcement will be made here the week before the tournament.

Normally at our first meeting we would introduce you to all of the Club Officers and congratulate our 2020 Angler of the Year. That will have to happen at our first meeting of the year. I hope thatโ€™s in February but we will see where we are at that time. Sorry for the inconvenience. All we can do is roll with the punches. PM me with any questions or for more information.
