RIP Packman. I haven’t chased bass on purpose in 20 years but will never forget my best day ever bass fishing. I was in college and an old tourney buddy I fished with took me to fish with Mark in May probably about 1997 or so. We caught well over 100 fish that day throwing Carolina rigs. Lunch at Tiffany’s won’t be the same without seeing him in fhere more often than not. Will miss his laugh. He was sure a legend of lake fork. Prayers out for his family.

I never got to fish with Mark but I know I always looked up to him for a very long time. I’ve always wanted to get better at jig fishing and I knew he was the man for that but I remember finally getting to meet Mark for the first time ever. My wife and I was at the classic at Conroe and I remember we was just walking around and I saw Mark and walked up to him and said you’re Mark Pack aren’t you and he said yeah and I looked at him and said wow it’s not everyday you get to meet a legend and he kinda laughed about it but I was more excited about meeting him than any pro that was there. So we stood there awhile and talked even got a few pointers on jig fishing and a few pictures before I left I would post them but not sure how. Hate that I never booked a trip with him. He was the only lake fork guide I had on my bucket list to go fish with. RIP Mark Pack
