Minimum wage goes up, prices go up or people lose their jobs or both. It's a real lose-lose situation.

Anytime the government forces more costs on a business the public will pay for the increases.
Minimum wage isn’t the only thing that is going to raise prices, the libs are going to raise corporate taxes substantially, capitol gains and personal. If anyone thinks this won’t effect their pocketbook they are idiots.
It won’t matter if you make 10.00 hour or 100.00 an hour you will pay for it.

$31,200 annual gross income for an entry level, non skilled position. Think I'll get a paper route.

Exactly.
Glad to see a true patriot coming out against the trump tariffs and anti-capitalism.

Target, Wal-mart, Amazon, Chick-Fillet, In N Out, etc. etc. already pay that as a min.

Hobby Lobby starts at $18. And you get that sweet sweet HL discount... come to me mine discounted craft supplies...

Many States and Cities already have local minimum wages higher than the fed min... some at or higher than $15.

Not sure it would change all that much.

Walmart

The Bentonville, Ark.-headquartered chain — the largest private employer in the U.S. — has been testing a higher minimum wage for newly named roles at about 500 locations across the country. Walmart’s team associates — from cashiers to shelf stockers — would receive $12 an hour while team leaders’ wages start at $18 an hour, as part of an overall strategy to empower its staff. The starting hourly pay remains at $11 and has not changed.

Target

Target increased its hourly wage by a dollar to $13 in June as part of a commitment to hit $15 an hour by the end of 2020. The Minneapolis-based retailer employs more than 300,000 workers and operates nearly 1,850 stores across the country.

What businesses, do you know, pay the minimum wage? Even when I was in high school, I didn’t make minimum wage.

Show me one single 16 year old part-time fry fryer or burger flipper who doesn't need a living wage of at least $15 an hour.
Just wait, we haven't gotten to the beginning of this B S yet.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Trumps tariffs added jobs in the US. No way to debunk that fact.
Cherry pick someone else’s posts libtard.

A simple question for you guys that want this increase in minimum wage-

Have you ever, EVER had to make a payroll?
And I don’t mean paying the lawn guy.

Because I think a lot of you are just playing the libs music and have no idea what you speak of-

Anyone?

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

I have one warehouse guy. Makes $11/hr. Just bumped him from $10. Works about 30 hours per week.

An increase to $15 would be 36%. Real dollars $120/week, $6240 per year. Gotta make that up some where.

Combine that with any cost increases for products I buy(for the same issue) and my profits go down. Thus my tax base is reduced and I pay less. Except if taxes go up and now I’m raising prices to stay flush.

And now the guy currently making $16 with some experience expects a bump....
