These post crack me up. Yes a person got killed for whatever reason and everyone is scared to fish a lake, but most live in cities where people get killed everyday and still goes downtown like nothing ever happened. Just go fishing mind your business and your fine. Two guys in our club during our November tournament were minding their own business when the cartel came upon them and held them at gunpoint while they went through their boat. They have two slightly used Mexico fishing license for sale. But I'm assuming let go unharmed Luckily.

It’s amazing how tough and stupid people will act just to get that famed Facebook profile pic. SMH.

Was down for a few days last week.
I had two teenagers so we stayed on the Texas side. You might not can win a tournament from there, but go throw your favorite 1.5 squarebill (black and yellow or chartreuse and blue are your favorite, lol) in pierce cove. Put the trolling motor on 50 and throw it in the dirt. By far and away, the most productive pattern and area I found on the Texas side in 3 days. Start at the island on the north side by the mouth of cove on the north side. Bite was better from midday on.
Cool lake and loved Zapata.

I am recruiting the buzzards to start a "Fayette Cartel". Once the fishing gets good, I will send them after your trucks! Best to avoid the lake till June!
