I like mine with a little damage on it That’s what I’m talkin’ about!  One of the guys I fish with has his Fortrex ‘ducer gorilla taped onto his trolling motor. It’s done for aerodynamics I assume. When I was younger and broker, I actually took the hose-clamp off the dryer vent the night before a tournament, because I was too broke that week to buy one for my trolling motor transducer

ive used braided line before on a broken transducer. worked fine.

I switched from hummingbirds to lowrance and noticed there were a few areas that had some rust. Just thinking about preventing rust. Just like to maintain my equipment as best I can.

I doubt it would hurt a bit but if you spray it all over the seams it may be a pain to get apart if you need to work on it

I doubt it would hurt a bit but if you spray it all over the seams it may be a pain to get apart if you need to work on it This, you would have to Line x it taken apart if you ever wanted it worked on, I would call minn kota if insulating it would cause over heating issues, I know my motorguide tour gets darn warm on high bypass.

used the rustoleum rattle can bed liner on a fortrex 80, worked great and was still there when I sold the tm.
clean it really well with acetone first, I cleaned mine twice to be sure.
