OK, so it ain't about sunfish. Sue me! .gif "angel") Got the chance to do a quick doe hunt near Shamrock, TX which is about 90 miles from Amarillo. Found out about a guy that has too many deer tearing up his winter wheat fields. Offered to help him and he said come on up. So daylight this morning found me overlooking a winter wheat field waiting to ambush some deer deer as they headed to their bedding areas. Right as the sun was coming up a nice doe stopped about 100 yards away and a single round from my old 7mm Mag put her down without a twitch. Less than 10 minutes later another group of does came by and one stopped to sniff the fallen doe. One more round from the 7mm and she joined the first one in the stubble. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/e02k4q4.jpg) Headed to Athens in the morning where I'll be busy butchering the meat and when it is all in the freezer I'm off the Chandler to chase the mighty rainbow trout.
