I was driving past the local course just this year and saw a guy who had rigged a sidecar for his riding lawn mower. There looked to be plenty of room for a set of clubs.
It looked like a good idea for a solo golfer.

When I lived in Port Aransas I had a Club Car gas. I can not count the number of times I towed an electric cart home because their batteries went dead way down the beach.

Just make sure if you go gas it doesn't sit without running long. I much prefer my electric but it isn't anywhere near stock.

I will probably purchase an Ez go lithium next year.

You live in a 9000 sq. ft. home?

Lol.

Yes, they start when you push the gas, just like the Jeep Rubicon I test drove the other day.

That's the main reason I wouldn't buy a Subaru when I was looking at new cars. I like the CrossTrek, but I don't like having to go in to the system and turning that feature off every time you start the car. I had 2 rental cars with that and it drove me nuts. Fortunately, the Sonata I purchased doesn't do that junk and I still get great gas mileage.

What model ? I have owned 5 subaru vehicles in the last 8 years and have never seen that feature, wife has a 19 accent and daughter an 18 crosstrec ,they certainly don’t have that feature, all have the CVT which takes a little getting used to but not the shut off and start like a golf cart. BTW they are great vehicles and my wife won’t think of driving anything but a Subaru.

What I have at our lake house . [Linked Image] I had a old EZ Go gas golf cart , sold it and bought this Kawasaki Mule 500 . It is the smaller one and has a dump bed . I use it a lot working around the place . And that Kawasaki motor is THE BEST . Runs forever on a tank of gas . Had it for almost 5 years and only thing I did was rebuild the carb last month .

that would be the way to go for around fork, they will outrun a golf cart easy and do more. had all of them out here at one time or another, the mules are great units till you hit some deep mud, too heavy but built like a tank.

polaris also has a small 500 and I think can am does as well.

As a retired golf course superintendent/manager/pro I wouldn't have anything but a fuel injected gas car. I've managed fleets of golf cars (E Z Go, Yamaha, and Club Car) for forty years. The fuel injected gas cars are by far the easiest to maintain. After I retired early this year I purchased a 2020 fuel injected Club Car, Tempo at a very good price. I've got about 100 rounds on it now and love it. Check air filter 2-3 times a year and change oil once a year. That's a heckuva maintenance schedule.

About six years ago the airline I work for quit buying golf carts and started replacing them with mules, our manager at the time said the mules were cheaper to purchase and maintenance has also proven to be much lower, ours are used for all three shifts 7 days a week and have held up really well, top speed is only around 30mph but the speed limit on the ramp is 20 so it’s not an issue, when we had golf carts the best ones were the Yamaha G27 [Linked Image]

A Mule or Ranger are the best but if you want a golf cart get the EZ Go gas model. Far better than battery powered carts.
