Try Evan Williams Black. Not bad for the budget minded drinker. If I can find, will be added to the challenge. It's 90 proof and a very good bourbon. I drink the green label because I'm cheap, and the black makes me drunk.

I looked for Weller. No go locally. But if you can do a comparison to Jameson, I'd love to hear it.

I started drinking bourbon kinda on the higher end so haven’t had much of the stuff that’s readily available. Not trying to sound snooty. See link to the OTs. Favorites under $30. Some are no longer under $30 since poll was made. I’d add Early Times Bottled in Bond—now available in Texas (wasnt when poll was constructed) Best American bourbon/whisky under $30I agree on the early time BIB.

Jameson, an irish whiskey, is a good safe bet. Jameson 18 is really good but not so budget minded.
