Put 1150 hours on my 2007 alpha 199. It was a fantastic boat.

I had a 2007 Alpha 211 with a Yam 250 SHO. Great boat with one issue. When running cross wind you will get side spray. None of my boats including all my Bullets didn't side spray me like that one. They are wet as hell, its the narrow front, still ride great though The width of the front of the boat has very little to do with how dry the boat runs in cross-wind situations. After owning five Bullets & 2 Allisons, all much narrower than the Alpha 211, I can tell you the Legend had a design flaw in that regard. Build quality was second to none. Up wind, down wind was great but running cross wind in 15+ mph wind it was like someone was steadily misting you with a pump up garden sprayer.

I have a 2011, by far the most solid boat I’ve owned! No problems with the boat at all, it can be a little wet running cross wind, but it cuts through waves like a knife and is a good smooth brought water ride head on! Buy it!! You will NOT regret it

Interesting, what is the design flaw is it the curve of the hull or something??? Hull strake on the side of the boat broke water right in front of the driver on my LE. I was told that they pulled it back on the Alpha's to minimize the spray. Apparently it didn't.... I had my transom separate, which Legend took care of, but the getting wet got old. Esp in the winter. Apart from that, my Legend was a solid boat.
