The story i heard was that these guys were camping out there and were only catching their daily limit but had been camping for 7-8 days. Anyone heard anything?

The only time I hear about crappie fishing on LOP is during winter. Is the fishing not good other times of the year ?

frozen fillets to my Mom ? Was definitely more than two days limit.

If they were only catching their limit daily then I do not see how this was a crime

Thats what I'm saying, there may be more to the story though. Almost always is. If they caught them all in a day or two then off with their heads but if it was over a week camping then is cs imo.

possession limit is 2 days catch. cut and dried , if they have more than 100 crappie for 2 anglers at the campsite,
they are in violation. They should have carried the fillets home every 2 days and they would have been legal.

I already knew of the law, was just kinda thinking itmwas blown way out of proportion if it were in fact true that they were within their daily limit but over the 2 day. Article makes it seem like they caught them all the same day. Who knows
