Be careful... Monty isn’t easy. Lots of small pebbles, steep embankment, slippery when wet. Below freezing yesterday morning early.

Caught fish on every bait I threw. Spinner bait slow rolled, 6xd, swim bait on under spin and 5 inch flutter spoon. Water temp 51 to 53.

Met two other kayakers (Blain and Nathan) and fished with them most of the day. They were camped out at state park and were going to be fishing Sunday as well.

I’m whooped. Getting old kinda sux.

Bro how I would love to. For the last almost year I have been working 7 days a week here in dfw and also Austin. There is really no end in sight. I didn't even get to the salt this year. My kayaks hate me right now. My son is 16 now and wants to work so for me that means normal job plus keep work going for him on the weekends. Its brutal.

Started out slow this morning... nothing at the big bridge, then missed 4 in a row on 6xd at railroad bridge, before finally landing one. Lots of bait around and suspended fish but they weren’t eating what I was forcefeeding. Went back in the pads and started catching small ones on spinner bait and swim bait. Got into the fish good late at railroad bridge on crank bait.. ended up catching 12. Big one weighed 5.49. Lots of others fishing today.. heard of a 6 and saw one over 7 lbs weighed. Beautiful day with very little wind.














Been trying to get a picture of this owl for two weeks. He is getting tamer.. usually on the ground in my front yard when I come home late.
