Possibly equally important is to get away from crud at MLF (aka Boyd and management)

Ike has been outspoken this year about BPT and how its run on his podcast.

Why in the world would John Cox leave BASS?

Bad move leaving a dying trail. Since those other guys left you don't hear about them near as much.

I was referring more to his style, he is shallow water 5 bites a day guy. MLF is every much as visible as Bassmaster these days, just because you don't like or watch their format doesn't make it less visible, plenty of us still watch both.

I can turn it around on you and say just because you're still watching it doesn't make it more visible, plenty of us don't watch it at all......

So 2 first year, 5 this year, and how many when they can leave without penalty next year?

As for Powroznik, it's been hinted that former Elite anglers with wins on their ledger could return after fishing the Opens for a year (which Powroznik has done in 2020), but there's been no confirmation.

Wel thats interesting and first time I've heard that and kinda of disappointing to opens anglers if true, hope its not. I wish both tours would not make criteria up to let guys in just like MLF letting Cox in, if anyone should have got invite should have been last years FLW AOY.

It must really suck for John Canada. Fish all the FLW stuff and make the top 5 to earn that spot and get pissed on by MLF.

could we maybe see BASS change its number of roster spots to accommodate this? That would be the right move in my opinion. Let the guys that qualified get in, then if you want to make up some BS for your cronies go ahead.

Looks like thar article was just edited. It now says he has no clear path to return to the Elites.

Some could head over to the TNPFL too, good anglers might clean house in that league.

I donโ€™t see how MLF can penalize them when they canceled half their season this year.

Probably where Powroznik is going, other than health issues just doesn't make sense

Once again, questionable decisions by the MLF people on BPT selections. What was wrong with offering the top 5 ranked anglers from the Pro Circuit (FLW Tour) from the last 2 years and work down that list or something similar?
