As the Admiral Seas It
Fishing Report: 11/08/20 to 11/14/20
Stop by our Office for up to Date Fishing Report

Marlin
This week on my boats 8 Marlin for the week off the Light House, out about 3 miles, almost all the fish being caught on live bait, not wanting the lures.
Reports from other companies posting good numbers.

Dorado
The Dorado are still going crazy, all the boats limiting, out lots of small but a lot of nice ones from the Light House to Rancho Migrino, still hitting anything you put in the water.

Tuna
Still very slow, a couple of big fish caught down at the Gordo Banks, chunking and drift fishing, not any schools.

Wahoo
This week better action, my boat had 4 nice 30lb to 40lbs some of the other boats reporting pretty good action also on rapals and lures jet heads

Inshore
Good dorado action from Grayrock to the Hard Rock and few rooster and skipjacks.

Come on down to Cabo! very nice weather and the fishing is wide open.

Jc’s Sportfishing Charters is a family owned and operated business and has been fishing in Cabo San Lucas for the past 18 years. Jerry, explains that his charter business is geared more for families and novice anglers, making sure everyone who charters a boat with him have a great time and lots of fun. We welcome families, and groups. We want everyone who fishes with us to take all the sites in and have a memorable experience. This is what is most important to us. We have and do a few tournaments each year and can cater to fisherman who might be interested in tournament fishing. Well let’s get on with the fishing report for this past week.

WEATHER: The forecast for Cabo San Lucas in the coming two weeks is predicting the average daytime maximum temperature will be around 30°C, with a high for the two weeks of 33°C expected on the afternoon of Thursday 19th. From The Admirals Kitchen!
Baked Mahi Mahi with Parsley Sauce
This baked mahi mahi recipe is made in the oven with a simple seasoning and a lemon parsley sauce. It’s flavorful, healthy, and easy enough for weeknights. Serve it with your favorite sides for a complete meal.

INGREDIENTS:
4 mahi mahi fillets, about 1 – 1 1/2 pounds
Salt & pepper, to taste
1/4 cup lemon juice
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon capers + 1 teaspoon brine
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon coarse salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400˚F.

Step 2
Season mahi mahi with salt & pepper. Place in a baking dish.

Step 3
Stir the remaining ingredients together in a small bowl. Spoon about 1/2 the sauce onto the mahi mahi and reserve the rest for later.

Step 4
Bake the mahi mahi for about 10 – 15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Step 5
Remove from oven and top with remaining sauce before serving.

COCKTAIL
Passion fruit martini

Ingredients
2 ripe passion fruits (they should have a crinkly appearance), halved
60ml vanilla vodka
30ml passoa
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp sugar syrup
prosecco , to serve

Instructions
Scoop the seeds from one of the passion fruits into the glass of a cocktail shaker, add the vodka, passoa, lime juice and sugar syrup. Add a handful of ice and shake well, strain into 2 martini glasses, top up with prosecco, then add half a passion fruit to each. Serve immediately.

BEWARE: Please beware of the guys in the street selling boat charters. If you wait till the day you are fishing and go to the dock where your boat is many times people will mislead you to another boat or dock trying to put you on a boat that was not meant for you. You need to have a person guide you to your boat, who is from a reputable charter company. This way there is no confusion or misleading. Please remember when renting Sport fishing boats in Cabo that you rent your boat from reputable and established business. Walk into a fishing fleet office and ask questions about what you are getting and what are the costs. You don't want to rent boats from vendors in the streets and you do not want to book through shady websites offering you the world. Check through travel forums about reputable fishing fleets to deal with. Look for testimonials about the fleet your booking, your charter with. Ask about what will the boat be supplying? Will it include beverages or lunches? How much does it cost to fillet your catch? Check to see if charter boat is insured? Ask about getting your catch smoked? Check cost of a fishing license. These are just a few things to consider when booking your charter boat. We will be talking more about this in the next weeks fishing report. Until next time good fishing and we hope to see you in Cabo soon. Come by the office here in Cabo and get all the latest up to date fishing report.

I'm going to be in Cabo in early December, staying at the Hard Rock. How's the surf fishing there? I've never done it before and I think I'd want to try it out. Any advice or places I should go to?
