Needing new boat batteries and thinking about Duracell from Batteries Plus. Opinions please! Thanks!

I just purchased two Duracell 12 volt deep cycle marine batteries from Batteries Plus. I needed two to rig up a 24 volt system to power my trolling motor. So far so good. I've run the the motor 6-8 hours and the batteries are still running strong without a recharge.

Great batteries...have them for my cranking and trolling motor batteries.

You can get the same battery for less money and less warranty at Sam's Club.

The batteries + one has like 1-2 more years than the Sam's 18 month warranty.

Sams 18 months, Batteries + is a 30 mo. and cost $70 more.

Duracell 31 series at Sam's is $179.00 personally think it's the best deal going.
used them for over 4 years on cranking and T-motor without issues!!
if i remember right, someone said they were made by Deka !

I have a Group 27 Dual Purpose as my Cranker. Bought at Batteries Plus. What I liked about buying there is they threw a load test on the battery before I walked out the door. Really great service. Have 27 series TM batteries too.

Would buy there again for sure. They are made my East Penn.

I have 3 Duracell batteries I have used for the past 4 years. The two trolling motor batteries are now showing signs of losing capacity. One thing that bothers me is that I have to refill battery water about once a month during the summer. The charge was maintained by a 3 bank charger in my boat.

Walmart has marine deep cycle Everstart 27 series for $90 each with 1 year warranty. According to the description: "Battery is maintenance free under normal operating conditions".

If anyone knows what this claim means, or has any experience with Everstart batteries, I would appreciate comments.

Thanks--

Yes, Penn makes both. Walmart uses Penn now.

Have a friend in Amarillo that has run Walmart Everlast for years. The advantage there if one goes bad, there is a Wal Mart in almost every decent sized town to do an exchange.

Bought three Duracell 31 AGM from Sam's four years ago. Still going very, very strong. I paid $225 per back then.

Sam's has the group 31 duracell on sale all the time for 159.00. At that price you can not beat them. I bought 3 of them about 18 months ago and they preform just like they did when they were new.

I've bought my boat batteries from Batteries Plus before. They install for free, too. Just pull your boat up to the store and if they're not busy, I bet they will install yours as well.
