Thanks Bones and Doug

All my reports are fly fishing reports Bones grin I've been catching lots of nice sized fish lately. Bite really shuts down by 8:30 though. I fished the North San Gabriel, Onion creek, San Gabriel further south, Madisonville and Fayette the last couple of weeks and it's been the same story.

Hey everyone. When does the white bass creek run usually start up? I am sure this has been answered before, I just can't search through 284 pages of posts to find it. Thank you!

We need some rain first. The lake is 1.5 ft low. They can still get up there but without enough rain it will delay large numbers. If we get some good rains then the males will start showing up in mid December. I can't wait, I've already been tying magical clousers. Rain Dance banana

Anyone know the status of the white bass and hybrids out on the main lake? Are they schooling up yet? Or are they still spread out?

Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing about the white bass.
J-Moe, agree with you 100%. I have taken my daughter (now 8yrs old), since she was 4 with me to vote. I want her to see how important it is that we voice our opinion through out ballots. She seems to enjoy it. Maybe she just likes the 'I Voted' sticker.
Also agree with the video in the sense that this president has been so disrespected by the American ppl. At least respect the office if you don't care for the man himself. My daughter has asked my why I dont watch 'foosball' (football). I told her it was because of the way the players disrespected the National Anthem. I explained to her the history of what the song is about, and what the ppl did that inspired it. That spirit and sacrifice are what this nation was built on, and that should always be honored and respected. One day I will teach her what the fate of all the signers of the Declaration of Independence was, as it was taught to me in my college government class (thank you Mr. Randy Michel). I talk to her about how this is the greatest nation on earth, and and we also have room to improve. Thats why we vote.
Anyway, to quote Forrest Gump, 'That's all I gotta say about that'.
Other than that, I havent been fishing since May. Maybe I'll finally get a chance to go try for some crappie off the ol kayak. Big Creek or Birch Creek. Hopefully we will get some rain to get a good white bass run. Tight Lines, and MAGA.

Vote Republican

If y'all don't I won't be able to share my fish or my spots. If the Democrats are in control I'll need to keep all the fish to prevent my family from starving roflmao

I've got into saltwater wading since the white bass run ended and I love it because it's a new challenge. It's just so damn far from Cypress or NW houston to drive to west bay, Galveston. Looking foward to the next white bass run. Hope all of you have been well.

Well I went straight R down the ticket when I voted about two weeks ago. I also have 154 "magical clousers" tied up. So are the fish up the creeks yet? I'm not a snob either I'll eat crappie and hybrids too.

We haven't received any rain and the lake is still low. I have a friend that may check it out for crappie today but I don't have much faith he will find any.

Hilarious, 154 "magical clousers" I tied up about 20 and I thought I was doing good grin

I might have to spend the winter fishing up around your area for white bass if we don't get some good rains.

We have had some rain but I suspect that most of crappie are still in the main part of the lakes as are the whites just from what I have been seeing from the crappie docks. There have been some real magnum whites under the typical 6 to 8 inchers that show up at night when the lights hit the water. I think the San Gabriel might fish for smaller males starting around Thanksgiving if we get the forecasted rain starting this upcoming weekend. The Lampasas is date dependent in my experience; no matter the weather March 6th is the day of days. Might have to try and figure out the Perdanales or head out towards the "Bend".

More in the big box but there are about 90 or so here in my "go" box. I have days where I used just one and then I have had days where two dozen wasn't enough to keep me fishing.

Speaking of fly fishing, I found a full intact fly reel/rod while wade fishing saltwater.... Doesn't really make up for the 4rods and reels that were stolen from me. I just need Mr. J-MOE to teach me how to properly use it now.
